Writing About Citizens in Wartime
Though his books are generally categorized as World War II histories, they are not military histories and tend to examine little-known aspects and figures in the conflict, including resistance movements, underground work, and the efforts of ordinary citizens in the struggles.

Inspiration
Tim's father, Lieutenant Wallace Anthony Brady, was a veteran of the war and won the Navy Cross for his service at the battle of Iwo Jima, in February 1945.
